Drum Lessons For Children And Adults
We teach private drum lessons for all levels.
Performances are available for each level of study.

This is an incredibly fun music experience that will have the student coming back for more.
Drum Lab Classes
Ages 6-10 years old
This class is geared towards students with little or no prior drumming experience through year-one players. We cover basics such as: holding sticks and striking a drum properly, basic coordination drills, easy rhythms, and playing as a group. Drums at home are not required, however a practice pad for home practice is helpful. Those with prior experience will be given more challenging rhythms and playing techniques. Every class features new rhythms and exercises and drills.
The class teaches students to play with confidence, in a group or as a soloist, and most of all the goal is to truly enjoy drumming, and learn about notation and rudiment patterns.
The class is designed for students to progress at their own pace. Parent Performance Days are scheduled throughout the year, and the teacher will assess the student’s progress and recommend private drum lessons at the appropriate time.
Drum Lab Basic Class Activities:
55 Minute Class, 5 Minutes Parent Time Class Materials: Basic Drumming Book with CD, Sticks, Technique Pages, Charts
- Technique, warm-ups, Stick Control
- Individual learning and assignments at students level
- Rhythm Workbook at the table (theory book or rhythm sheets)
- Review songs and exercises in books with teacher accompaniment or CD
- Jam, chart out pop songs, flash card games, etc.
- Parent questions and assignment clarification
Classes are designed for students to progress at their own pace. Students receive supplementary books during the year when they are ready to move ahead.
Private Drum Lessons
Ages 5 to Adult
In a private drum lesson, the teacher has the opportunity to help the student individually for the entire lesson time, and structures each lesson personally for the student depending on their skill level and goals. We teach all styles of music, from beginning basics through blues, funk, jazz, Latin, rock, Hip-Hop, World, Afro-Cuban, Brazilian, Bebop, Big Band, Fusion, country, metal, alternative – you name it!
Private drum students are welcome to perform at our Center Stage Music Shows, MusicFest in June (optional), and also Yearly Judged Music Performance (judged event).

Private drum lessons are designed for students to progress at their own pace. Students/parents have input about the style and genre of music they would like to work on. Parent is welcome to observe the lessons, or learn to play right along with the student FREE.
